Ryan Smith, M.S.
Ryan is a master’s graduate of Marian University working towards their Associates License in Mental Health Counseling. She has experience working with neurodivergent individuals, the LGBTQIA+ community, racial inequality and marginalized communities, individuals experiencing spiritual distress and people with depression and anxiety. They work with adolescents, teens, and adults.
Ryan believes that the heart of therapy starts with the relationship between the therapist and the client. Ryan focuses on creating a safe environment, collaborating, and fostering an honest relationship where people can feel comfortable being themselves to work on their goals. She focuses on existential therapy, DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care.
Ryan’s goal is for clients to be able to establish their value systems, a sense of identity for themselves and to feel heard. Ultimately, she hopes to see them be in a place to feel empowered to make decisions, create boundaries, and establish healthy relationships.
In their spare time, Ryan enjoys writing music, rollerskating, spending time with friends, and traveling. She also loves karaoke and taking long hikes.
Ryan sees clients ages 12+ and adults.
