Emily, She/Her, MS, Pending LMHCA

Emily earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marian University and bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health & Science from Middle Tennessee State University. Emily has previous experience providing therapy in group and individual settings with vulnerable populations at the Indiana Women’s State Prison and Child Advocacy Center.

She works with teens and adults who are experiencing anxiety, executive dysfunction, difficulty managing everyday stressors, struggles with setting boundaries and goals, body dissatisfaction, and job/life transitions.

Emily shares, “By emphasizing a collaborative relationship with clients, I can assist in improving emotional regulation, increasing self-awareness, identifying patterns, healing inner child, and gaining coping and interpersonal skills. In my practice, Emily utilizes a holistic, client centered approach while incorporating techniques from DBT and motivational interviewing. There is no one way to “do” therapy—everyone has different needs. Allowing yourself to be vulnerable can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to cultivate a non-judgmental environment where clients can feel safe and demonstrate autonomy. This space can help transform struggles into strength and resilience through careful, sensitive work. I empower clients to adopt a self-compassionate view of life and am dedicated in supporting folks on their own unique journey towards healing and growth. Navigating life’s challenges can be uncomfortably messy and hard, but it doesn’t have to be done alone.”

Outside of her professional life, Emily shares she enjoys experiencing dopamine rushes from live music, reading a good book, being active outdoors, and hanging out with friends and family.
