As a member of the queer community myself, it was important for me to create a affirming therapy practice for not only the LGBTQ+ population but by being a safe place for all individuals.

Born and raised on the East coast. I’m not your typical therapist. I am casual over business and truly believe therapy should be real and less about the symptoms and more about the person. My counseling style is down to earth, personable, and humorous. This brave journey can be challenging, so I believe that not taking ourselves too seriously can be truly healing. I have a direct but empathic and creative role in the therapy process. Art therapy, homework, cussing (when appropriate), laughter and crying will all be a part of therapy and the long term healing. Check out my blog- What it’s like to work with me as your therapist

If you care about all that clinical stuff………… My therapy approach, drawing from several theoretical orientations, is client-centered, Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), inner child healing, strength based on the belief that every individual is unique. My experience comes from bachelors degree in criminal justice and working with survivors of violence and finding housing for families. Later getting my master’s in mental health counseling to better serve those who experience trauma, childhood abuse and sexual violence. I believe we all deserve healing and leading a life we are free in.

I am a trained practitioner in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, long hikes, table top board games and spending time with my partner and our 3 dogs-Bagel, Ruggles, and Macchiato. We are new foster parents to high needs kids.

Now offering Accelerated Resolution Therapy Intensives

Want to heal your trauma faster? Struggling in your relationships and want to avoid the 50 minute once a week therapy sessions? Now is your time to learn about healing in much faster time. We now offer 3 hour, 4, hour and 6 hour sessions.

We believe that one size does not fit all and see the benefits from some clients wanting longer therapy sessions to get quicker relief. Now more than ever, we need flexibility in how we heal. Therapy intensives are personalized treatment plans that allow you to change the one time a week appointments to you faster access to treatment with a longer session.

An example may be “I want to heal my childhood trauma”. After establishing that intention, we would specifically look at traumatic memories and negative core beliefs that are blocking you from attaining that specific goal and process those memories during your intensive.
